Report a bug
Email brief@vespersky.aiwith the subject line “Bug Report.” To help us fix the issue faster, include the following details:
- Your device model (e.g. iPhone 15 Pro, Pixel 8)
- Your operating system version (e.g. iOS 17.4, Android 14)
- The Vesper app version (found in Settings → About)
- A description of what happened and what you expected to happen
- A screenshot or screen recording if the bug has a visual component
- If it involves a specific city or forecast, include the city name and the time you saw the issue
We triage bug reports within 24 hours on weekdays. Reproducible issues with clear steps get fixed faster than vague reports, so the more detail the better.
Request a feature
Email brief@vespersky.aiwith the subject line “Feature Request.” We read every message and track requests in our product backlog. Features that come up repeatedly from users and fit the editorial philosophy have the best chance of shipping.
We are deliberately cautious about adding features that would make the app more cluttered or dilute the editorial voice, so not every request will land. When a request does not fit the product direction, we will reply explaining why rather than filing it silently.
Troubleshooting common issues
Most reported issues fall into a handful of categories and can be resolved in a minute or two. Try these steps in order before escalating to email.
Force-quit and reopen
Most transient issues resolve with a clean relaunch. Swipe Vesper out of the app switcher, then reopen. On Android, use the Recent Apps gesture and swipe Vesper away.
Check location permission
If the forecast shows a different city or fails to load, verify that Vesper has Location Services enabled. On iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Vesper → While Using. On Android: Settings → Apps → Vesper → Permissions.
Verify network connectivity
Vesper needs a network connection to pull fresh data, but it caches the last successful fetch so you can still read the most recent brief offline. If nothing updates, check that you are connected and not on a restricted corporate network that blocks weather provider APIs.
Update to the latest version
Bug fixes ship regularly. Check the App Store or Google Play for the most recent Vesper version. If you are running an older build, updating often resolves the issue immediately.
System requirements
Vesper runs on iOS 16 or later, iPadOS 16 or later, and Android 10 or later. The Apple Watch app requires watchOS 10. Live Activities require an iPhone with iOS 16.1 or later, and Dynamic Island integration requires an iPhone 14 Pro or newer. Widget support works on all listed OS versions.
